Hi! Thanks for taking the time to read a little about Candy and I and our ferrets at Frisky Business Ferretry. My name is Suzanne. I’m 43 years old and live in the North East of England and am formerly of Wear Valley Ferret Rescue that ran for almost 10 years. I have a wonderful husband, Paul, and a beautiful 11 year old daughter named Ella who is just as ferret mad as myself.  I have 13 ferrets, all girls, as well as my gorgeous golden lab cross named Summer. I have 17 years of experience with owning ferrets and we have been breeding the angora ferret since 2008. And even longer breeding standard ferrets and EU polecats. I also own my own business and work part time which gives me plenty of extra time to dedicate to my family and the ferrets. 

Hi! I am Candy. I am originally from Texas but have lived in the North East of England now for nearly 17 years. I have owned ferrets for 16 years now and helped run Wear Valley Ferret Rescue for 5 years.  I am 43 years old and am married to a lovely guy, Steve. We have two grown boys aged 22 and 24 named Tyler and Cody. I have five cats who are named Bicky, Mew, Yammy, Harley and Beerus.  Harley being the oldest and grumpiest aged 17. I have 9 ferrets named Ghost, Leviathan, Mohican, Peanut, Cinnamint, Lexa, Bubble Butt, Roma, and Noisette and I adore them all. And I also have pet rats that I breed as a hobby. It helps me to learn even more about breeding and genetics which helps a lot with breeding the ferrets.  

The vets we use are Wilson’s Veterinary Group located in Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe and Spennymoor. We fully recommend them on any ferret problem. They have been brilliant with our ferrets and have offered us some wonderful advice through the years and continue to do so now.
